In this debate which was suppose to be about farmer protests in Delhi this journalist who is a known liberal Hindu of Punjabi background exposes her anti Sikh sentiments. Her name is Barkha Dutt. Just like other liberal Hindus like Shekhar Gupta who displays his genocidal pulse by praising mass murderers like KPS Gill and Gen Brar, she also insists that Deep Sidhu must call Sant Bhindrawale a terrorist in order for her to carry on this conversation. She repeatedly cuts him off, doesn't even allow him to finish his point. While most of us associate only right wing RSS type Hindus to be anti Sikh but these far left liberal Hindus are even worse in some aspects. They (libera…

I came across this upcoming Bollywood film which is a remake of Forrest Gump. It's produced by Aamir Khan and also starring him. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laal_Singh_Chaddha So who do they choose to play the low IQ dim witted lead character? A full Sardar. It's a disgrace and shows that Bollywood still hasn't changed much in it's portrayals of Sikhs. We're just simple minded do gooders to them.

<< The Amritvela Challenge >> Dear everybody, welcome to the Amritvela Challenge. There is so much suffering in the world. To alleviate this, the source of life, the universe and creation, manifested themselves in the form of our Guru's to show the world a path to eternal peace and freedom that lies within each of us. To walk this path, our Guru's instructed us to rise in the golden hours of the morning and seek connection to that source through remembrance and bhagti (devotion). Through connection our pains will be lifted and we'll become truly strong. However, our mind's have been improsined by the forces of Maya, an entity w…

First question. Is non-Gurbani music against Rehit of being Sikh? Second. What is the ‘proof’ from a Sikhi perspective of this? I personally think listening to most music outside of Gurbani or Dharmic non-Gurbani does more harm than good. Obviously some music is ‘worse’ than others with damage/influence to the Psyche and influence on our thoughts and behaviour But, if I was to explain this from Sikhi perspective to someone challenging me (Sikh or non-Sikh) how would I summarise it?

Here are some questions for you: Do Sikhs believe in "shrines"? Do Sikhs believe in pilgrimages? Is Amritsar a "Holy City"? Is it important for a Sikh to visit Amritsar? Is Harmander Sahib the "holiest shrine in the Sikh religion"?

Some positive winds of change. Some highlights: Call made for Sikhs to start up firing ranges and get acquisition and training in firearms. They are hind-ians (aka those who inhabit the ancient land of hind) and are more interested in Hind-ism than Hindu-ism. What Sikhs failed to realise is after 1947 when the Hindu's found themselves to have a majority rule again after nearly 1000 years they are more interested in defending and preserving what remains of land of hind than actual reviving and practising hinduism and uphold any of its values or teachings. The most militant and ultra nationalistic hindian will do anything including murders, torture and terrorism to ensure India is safeguarded. And the militant of these people are the types who join R&AW operations against their precieved enemies. We ca…
