With Maharaj's kripa, I have signed up at the local Gurdwara Sahib and will be taking Amrit on Vaisakhi. To all the Singhs who have taken Pahul, is a Bana Chola needed or is long navy kurta top without Pajama also fine?

Also which colour Bana Chola did Maharaj and the original Panj Pyaare wear in 1699 Vaisakhi? Most pictures show either Kesari or Navy blue. I know the point is the Amrit itself and not what colour they wore but it'd be nice to know.

(PS: I'm taking Amrit from the normal SGPC Sikh Rehat Maryada, not Damdami Taksal or Nihang Rehat)

Even from Nihang Singhs, we were allowed to wear kurta but I was the only one.

I am pretty sure Pajama cannot be worn regardless of which rehit, because your kashera needs to be seen!

Also remember to tie your pagh in a way that allows amrit to be administered to the top of your hair as well!

@ipledgebluebro what's really the difference between them?  Also which one do the guards at Darbar Sahib wear and what are they wearing in Chaar Sahibzaade? Are those blue kurte or Bana chola in the film? Just because they do wear Pajama in it.

Thanks for all your help Paaji! Where did you take Amrit from?
