The police watchdog has said it will 'thoroughly investigate' a complaint alleging that a Sikh man had a religious head covering forcibly removed in custody.

West Midlands Police said a suspect was asked to remove his patka - a head covering - so it could be searched at Perry Barr custody suite on Monday afternoon (October 25).

The force said an officer removed the patka in a private room, to search for anything that could be harmful to the man or custody officers. It said the covering had fallen to the floor but said it was immediately retrieved.

But the force said that a video circulated online appearing to show a man "having his turban forcibly removed and stamped on" was false and that "at no point was it stamped on".

In a culture where wealth is considered the ultimate God, this stuff is only going to increase. The effects on people like us are collateral and of no significance to the rest of the country. Hell, they'd LOVE to see sullay and Sikhs kick off and buss out the popcorn.   And I guarantee if that happened, no matter what the provocation to Sikhs, they'll be portraying us as the problem.

The police should release the video. Why they are not releasing the video to the public.

Is this a clever way of saying: "Yeah it was yanked off his head and thrown on the floor, but not stamped on."?

Crazy as it may sound, but that recent Saudi takeover of Newcastle United has crystallised this notion for me. I knew the vast majority of modern goreh were mercenaries to a certain degree, available to the highest bidder, but some of them have their priorities completely askew. I'm guessing some of that, "You only live once," ethos has a part to play in their mentality. That's not to excuse the hypocricy of those other people getting upset over Geordies getting over-excited about their football club while the government buys oil off the same people AND sells them weapons. Everyone's poo stinks in this particular scenario.

Yes, British goray (Monarachy, army etc) have done as much bad as any other nation or religion in terms of oppression and cruelty to other nations in the past. In that sense there's no difference between them.
