question, which Amrit rehat is actually closest to what Guru Gobind Singh Ji gave in 1699? And did they wear kesari or navy chola/kurta on the day?

Dal panth rehat is closest. sahibjada Baba Fateh Singh wore the neela bana and dumalla from his great grandfather Guru Hargobind ji, and Guru Gobind Singh adopted this into khalsa as well. The dal panth Nihang Singhs used to give pahul at all 4 takhts. When the khalsa jathas were combined into the 2 dals, at that time Budha Dal was responsible for giving pahul to the Singhs and behaved as the 5th chakarvarti takht which watched over as praband of the gurdwaras with the tradition being of the mukhi of budha Dal being mukhi/mahant of Akal Bunga/Akal Takht as well.

thanks. And what's Taksali Maryada?

And if 4 of the 5 Takhts allow meat eating in their Rehat, where did the whole "vegetarian Amritdhari" idea come from?

you do eat meat right?

Also, how do we explain the verses in Maharaj's saroop which seem to be against it, like "those who eat fish are corrupt"?

not a good idea to do a meat discussion on this forum. A decade ago it could get accounts banned, but nowadays the current mods are a bit more lenient but probably not a good idea to push it lol

but regardless, if it is bani, post it and let's see. There was a thread about bani and someone posted a twisted meaning about meat or halal. lol the thread became hidden when I explained the bani!

Paaji help me pls. What do i do if I go to take Amrit and the 5 Pyaare give me wrong/corrupt Rehat. Like if I go for Amrit and they say "you must be vegetarian". After taking Amrit, can one adopt another Rehat or do I have to follow that one?

Like if they give me mainly SGPC Rehat (I know ur Nihang but bear with me on this pls Paaji) but the only difference is that they say I have to be Vegetarian, will I still be Amritdhari if I ignore that part and follow what is written in the Sikh Rehat Maryada?

If I go expecting one rehat from a Singh Sabha Gurdwara but the 5 Pyaare tell me to be veg, will I still be Amritdhari if I ignore that and follow what is written by Akal Takht instead? Or what if I choose to take Amrit at an SGPC Gurdwara, but want to follow Nihang Rehat/Buddha Dal but can't physically take Amrit from them? Will I still be Amritdhari?
