Sikhi in Malwa

They are used in common day language on a daily basis, even by Amrtidharis, the gravity if the insult has surely been diluted through frequent use.

Regarding foul language-

Rehitnama Bhai Chaupa Singh:

ਗੁਰੂ ਕਾ ਸਿਖ ਗੰਦ-ਵਾਕੀ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੈ। (Guru's Sikh should not be a person who uses dirty words.)

Bhai Chaupa Singh then cites a reference from Gurbani:

ਜਿਤੁ ਬੋਲੀਐ ਪਤਿ ਪਾਈਐ ਸੋ ਬੋਲਿਆ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ॥

Swear words were used in battle from what I've heard even by the Khalsa Armies, but in context of psyching out the enemy. Now it's just common and usually the women are worse off.

Guru nanak dev ji used to swear and use harsh vocabulary. The sakhi was that he started swearing and scaring the villagers. Ill try finding the sakhi if i can.

The Sakhi was Guru Nanak Dev Ji and Bhai Mardana Ji both came to a village where the people were really rather horrible to them, so Guru Sahib blessed them to always keep their roots there. When they came to another village Guru Sahib and Bhai Sahib Ji were treated with alot of respect and love. But afterwards Guru Sahib cursed them to get uprooted and scattered. When Bhai Sahib asked why Guru Ji did this, Guru Ji told him he wanted the evil people to remain in one place so they couldn't spread and infect the world with their evil. But good people will spread goodness wherever they go, so he wanted the people of this village to spread goodness.

That's from memory so i dunno the exact specifics so Bhul Chuk Maf Karni.

Nah that sakhi is different. The sakhi i recall has something to do with bhai lehna ji

I have noticed in the west, Malwai Sikhs are generally the most religious of the Punjabis. Their girls are usually more traditional. Otherwise they are also good people. They help their relatives in India and even help them come over to settle in the west.

1) more so than Majhails? Are you taking mainly about Canada, because in UK are not many Malwais

2) I thought this was the stereotype of Doabias?
